Birthday time! We had a fun day at the Miller's house celebrating Parker and Riley's birthday! There were lots of kids there, and lots of rowdy fun! I think decorating the cookies was a hit! =) I didn't get many pics but here is a combo of mine and Abbey's pics. She is still a little shy but loved all of the princess stuff!

You can definitely tell which ones I took with my pt and shoot vs. nice camera. That's what happens when you have #2. ;) I just took some quick shots tonight b/c I remembered I had pics of P in the same outfit. Yes, I am a little off on the mths (I think P is three mths and K is 5 mths which makes a big difference) but it is still fun to compare. Crazy how much hair Kesed has compared to P, and crazy how the dress almost fits them the same! Oh, and is it not totally obvious which one drools like a dadgum faucet?! =) They are both the sweetest lil uns ever!

I need some new pics of P to put in frames around the house! Life finalllly calmed down enough for me to take some...and then my camera stops working correctly! boo boo boo. Here are a few I edited like crazy to make them brighter. Tanner and I can't get over how much bigger she has gotten in just the last 4 mths!!! We were looking back at pics and it was blowing our minds. She is such a big girl now!

I finally got around to taking their pics in the WKU outfits darlin and Papaw got them. I laughed out loud many times as I put these on here, the ones in the chair are hilarious to me ;). They love each other so much these days. Parker always asks where Kesed is when she can't see her. We put them to sleep at the same time, and Parker likes to entertain Kesed as we put her pajamas on...it is the sweetest thing ever!!! Kesed is SO proud that big sister is talking to her and making her laugh and Parker thinks she is a rock star. ha! Papaw and Dahlin'....these are for you! =)

Here are a few pics from the last few days. They aren't the greatest and certainly don't do this new lil face justice ;) The labor was intense to say the least. I only thought I was going to die 5.6 times. ha! I probably had Tanner convinced too. Pushing was super easy though. I pushed once pretty much and she came right out! Last night was pretty rough but I am hoping that things will be better tonight since my milk came in. fun fun! =) Parker LOVES her. She always wants to hold her and check on her. I am sure it helps that Papaw is here and gives her lots and lots of attention. It has been beautiful here so Curt and Tanner just went out and bought tons of meat to grill on Tanner's new grill. =) I am just excited about the small narcotics they picked up. ha! I discovered in the middle of the night that we have no pain medicines in this house. youch! I have a friend up here who is also church-planting and a photographer, she is going to come over soon and take some newborn/family pics for me. So, better pics are coming soon hopefully. I guess I need to get my nice camera out too in btwn feedings. =) Thankful for the adrenaline the Lord gives to get you through! We are blessed!

Here it is! The Lord provided something totally different than what we had in mind. We were thinking of a two family home in the heart of Medford but apparently the Lord has different plans that I am sure are bigger than what we can imagine. He made it very clear that this is where he wants us, a single family home in Winchester. This has been a very stressful process so we are thankful it is over in many ways. I will be really thankful when everything is moved! Part of the amazing deal is that we can move in at any point in the next month (prob getting keys tom or Sunday) and they aren't charging us any rent until June 1st. HUGE GRACE! Talk about taking some stress off of this pregnant mama. We got a really great deal on it...it will be expensive to heat it in the winter I am sure but I guess that is what comes with renting a house. They are also putting new a new washer and dryer in the basement for us b/c we don't have one. There is tons of storage in the basement which is really nice. The real estate guy has been great to work with...his girlfriend is due three days before me so he brought her to meet us tonight. They are such a sweet couple and want to hang out more. He is a hard core Bostonian but really helpful. They even mentioned getting together this summer to hang out. love that. pray for them. =) Jimmy and Jenn

As you can see Parker wanted to pose in all of the pictures =) She has no clue what is going on and why in the world we have been to so many random apartments but she has been a trooper. Winchester is very close to Medford, only a few more mins for ppl to drive (further distance but not as much traffic). There are gorgeous houses there and much more residential, top school systems in the state, and lots of moms that live around there. I will def have to be intentional in getting out and meeting ppl there and in Medford but I am excited to see what the Lord has planned. I couldn't help but to look at the house with an extra critical eye...just like my dad =) I think he would say it is a keeper ;). (especially when we compare it to what we had been looking at). The Lord always provides in His perfect timing! Now come see us!!!

Here are some fun pics from yesterday. I have been meaning to put up some new pics b/c she is getting so big! I wish all of you could hear her talk. It is the cutest thing!! She says everything now! She likes to say, "no way!! and, not today!" (insert a two yr old attitude) when I tell her it is time to potty ;) I have been potty training her this week. It has been great b/c my mom washes all of the dirty stuff and she LOVES for my mom to take her poop! ha!! We are still working on the whole "poop" thing but overall she has done great! I am 26 weeks pregnant this week. I will be 30 before ya know it! We decided to start her name with a "k" instead of "ch" because we thought it would be easier for people to pronouce and save her from a little headache all of her life =) We/she will still be able to explain why we chose the name and where it came from. So there ya have it! Kesed Grace Turley! Enjoy these sweet pics! We can't wait for Tanner to get here in two days! He will be staying a week this time. So exciting. =)

Mom-mom and Grandad surprised Parker with her very own baby bed built by Grandad and designed by GramB ten years ago! How sweet! She LOVED it! It was such a thoughtful gift and so sweet of them to ship it up here. Mom-mom made the blanket. I am sure it will get much use! Parker wanted to put it in her bed tonight =) I will let the pictures speak for themselves but thank you again for such a thoughtful gift (they know how much she loves her babies!) I promise to change my background soon so it is easier to read. =)

Turning TWO!

Can't believe she will be two in just a few days! We had a little early celebration since Nanu and Pa won't see her for her birthday this year. She LOVED the sprinkles or ("binkles") =). We had a great time visiting everyone down in GA! She loves her Aunt "Kimmy" and Uncle Kealon. She made them chase her around the house relentlessly. She made my dad watch way too much wiggles =) and she said NANU!!! about every point five seconds. =) We are excited to celebrate more in KY! Sorry I put the pics in the wrong order.

THE WIGGLES! THE WIGGLES!

Friday night we took Parker to The Wiggles concert. She LOVED it. It was so fun to see her face. For those of you who don't know, the Wiggles are made up of four men and some animals that jump and around and sing crazy songs...it is one of her favorites on tv. Tanner made the comment that the first concert we go to in Boston is the wiggles =) but her excitement was so worth it. There were SO many kids in downtown Boston. People were asking..."why are there so many kids in the city right now??" The theatre was incredible. I was excited about the nachos for this icky stomach but they were cold. =( boo. She sang along with them and did the hand motions as you can see below. too cute! She is getting so big. She is flying through her clothes right now...getting tall and a little more round. ;) She has grown out of 4 pair of jeans in a month easily. We had a great corporate gathering last night for Redemption Hill. It was exciting to see ppl come and get excited about who we want to be and what we want to look like. The Lord continues to bless RHC in numerous ways, especially financially. We are so thankful for that. I was able to take some maternity pics of another church planter wife up here. I loved shooting them in the city! It offers so many new opportunities! I was getting so tired of greenery...excited about new colors, textures, doors, buildings, etc. =)

Hope you all had a great day! Parker loved trick or treating. I thought she would be shy but she loved it! She knocked on all of the doors until the ppl opened them =) and then said "tri tree" when prompted (trick or treat). so cute! She even ate a reeses cup and two suckers! Thankfully she is asleep...we walked her through about 10 floors, two buildings! It was great b/c there weren't many trick or treaters and we were nice and warm indoors. =) She was very proud of her candy...i'm thinking potty training here we come with all of that candy! Some of these pics were pretty dark but these cheeses are priceless! =)

Hi!

Yes it has been a while but we still have love for all of our faithful fans. ;) Here are some pics from the past couple of weeks. The time is flying by up here. We are trying to embrace this nice weather! We really enjoyed our visit with our friends from North Carolina. They were so sweet to take half a week off and come see us! There is much to be thankful for up here. We had a great grill out yesterday. We had 38 ppl counting kids. Awesome! Love to see God at work. Parker is big stuff as always. She is learning more new words such as, Redemption Hill church, eww toe jam, alriiiight, bye see ya!, goooo dawgs sic em woof woof (that's for you, Curt), etc. She is definitely putting words together well and we are seeing some of that two yr old rebellion popping up. of what fun! Time for me to read shepherding a child's heart. Hope you all are doing well! Keep in touch! Thanksgiving will be here before you know it!

o.k. so this is my confession. SHE IS STILL IN THE INFANT/TODDLER BATH TUB!! I know, all of my friends just passed out. Honestly, most of it is out of habit every night and the fact that she screams like crazy if we take it away. My aunt Kim gave her this adorable dress when she was a newborn and I have been waiting to do a special photo shoot in it. I love the dress with her big curly white hair. We are still doing great up here in Boston. Parker is a confident city girl now! She loves to march around without holding our hands. =) Don't ya just wish you could kiss these cheeks that I kiss all day?!

My point and shoot is being moody so I took most of these without being able to see what I was taking a picture of ;) but you can hopefully still get a taste of our little community, Medford. I'm sure I will take more pictures soon, it is rather hard to try to portray our area with a little camera but here are a few! I am amazed how close we are to the city and everything else yet it is still so pretty and green with lots of parks, trails, and trees. We have discovered that everyone here loves dogs, eats healthy, and everyone works out. Looks like we have some work to do! ha!

Although we didn't have much time to celebrate in the midst of moving, there was much celebration going on in our hearts b/c we have waited for this moment for so long! I am realizing how busy we were even more every day we are here. I am so glad we have been able to have some nice family time this past week. We were very thankful for his parents help as we moved. Curt was the master packer, and Brenda was a great help with Parker. We are getting settled in fast and loving our new neighbors and community. The Lord has given so much grace! Here are a few pictures from graduation day. I am working on getting pics up of life in Boston. =) coming soon! I can't spoil y'all with too many pics at once! ha!

Time if flying! I have been wanting to take pics of Parker for a while now but we have been soo busy with T finishing up school, work, and getting ready to move. Also, we have been battling the dreaded colds and ear infections. boo. She put two words together this week for the first time..."bye bye daddy." He was not very excited about this phrase but she was so cute saying it over and over. She also said her name for the first time...however, that was short lived, and she decided to start calling herself "baby." I always call her "baby Parker" so when we ask her to say "Parker" she says....baby! sooo cute! We are headed to KY this from this Friday through Wednesday, then we are here for a week before the graduation celebration begins, and then we move! Crazy!

Please pray for our transition and that Parker will adjust well. Enjoy the pics! Oh, and might I add...this was one of the hardest shoots b/c she was everywhere! She would purposefully run away from me and look the other way. whew!

15 mths!

Wow!

15 mths! As the grand-parents have seen lately...she has personality coming out all over. She loves to go bye bye, play with legos, watch her movies, eat snacks, kiss/rock her baby, play with daddy's jar of pens, and WALK everywhere now. These are only a few of her favorites...she is getting much better about playing by herself. She does great entertaining herself for short periods of time now which has been very helpful. Ppl say it gets harder when they begin to walk but it has been easier for me b/c she wanted to walk with my hands all of the time before. She LOVES LOVES her baby. She rocks it, pats it, tells it to "ssshhh shhh" (like Nanu taught her), and then gives it the bah bah to drink. Ugh...it is so cute! She carries the big baby around everywhere. She can definitely communicate most things that she wants now...whether it be with words or that little whiney "ugh ugh UGH ugh ugh UGH" and her point...that I hear/see much of the day. =)

We had a great time with my parents. Parker and I visited them for two weeks and then they came up here for my dad's appt. Thankfully, my dad had another great appt!! Praise the Lord for that!

Parker also learned how to say "Nanu" and "Pa" so that of course melted them. She knows how to wink (with both eyes) which stole her grandpa's heart. It is precious!

Tanner will be done with his dissertation a week from today!!! He has been working hard on the bibliography...I think it might be around 250 pages altogether (or more)...crazy!

We are looking forward to going to Boston at the end of this month to look for apartments. Pray that we find one!

Parker walked (marched!) half-way around our neighborhood today! (with a little help from her trusty cart =) She kept going and going and going. Nothing was stopping her and or that focused face of hers. She was pretty much the cutest thing ever so I had to capture it. Tanner also taught her how to shoot hoops today. She learned right away and would throw her arm in the air and say "shoo shoo shoo!" As you can see from these pictures she is miss personality (or dare I say...Miss DRAMA!)" However, I must say. I love the drama! Hey, she's a GIRL! What more do you expect? Now take a look at this cuteness.

Look at that big girl! Here are a few Valentine's Day shots. I had to send my big camera off...it was a little sick but hopefully I will have it back this week! So, I had to use my "little camera" for these. I had to get a few of her in this adorable little dress. She looks a little orange in some of these b/c she loves her veggies so she gets lots of orange stuff which tents her skin...and I also realized she had a few carrots left over from dinner when I zoomed in. ha! I am getting really excited about all of the cute Spring clothes that are coming out (for her, of course ;). Tanner has been very busy finishing up his dissertation which is due in less than a couple of months! He already has about 175 pages written. Parker and I are very proud of him and cannot wait for him to be done so we can have more time with our man. He does great with dividing his time and living on little sleep...not me ;). We dedicated Parker a few weeks ago. (pic below) As you can see in the picture she was exhausted from little sleep the night before. I didn't realize she was getting her first ear infections...whew!! Now that was rough. We had a great week in KY (minus the lack of sleep from double ear infections that we didn't know about). They spoiled us as always. Parker LOVED riding in her box that Papaw made for her...well, until Aunt C threw her overboard. lol! j/k =)

We are finally (did I say finally???) sleeping again. I am vacillating between one and two naps during the day. I have learned that it is a day to day thing. She is talking more and more and really comunicating what she wants which is always fun. =) She will go in the pantry, pull out her puffs, point them at me, and say "ma ma ma ma ma" along with a few grunts and pitiful little face. Yes, she already knows how to work me. Who would have ever thought I would be the softee and not Tanner?? I mean could you resist this face....???

Parker's first birthday!

We had a great time celebrating Parker's first birthday at Nanu and Grandpa's house. She dove head first into the cupcake! Now that's my kinda girl. lol Her sugar high only lasted about TWO hours and involved heavy, intense laughter, squealing, and running (holding my hands) around the house. Let's just say I was sweating trying to keep up with her! She loves all of her gifts. Thanks so much for the cards, presents, and love! She is such a blessing. She is talking more and more by the hour...having full conversations with herself and her toys! =) She will be walking any day now! Oh my!!

Look at this little squirt standing on her own! She thinks she is big stuff and wants to walk all of the time (with us holding her hands). She was showing off tonight and actually stood up on her own by pushing off of my leg on the floor. We all went crazy. =) Ppl were right when they said once they start crawling they think they can do anything. We love watching her try to communicate these days. She has many dramatic faces that she loves to share with everyone. I love the drama. =) She loves all remotes, cell phones, and computers. EVERY time she sees one she purses her lips, gets really big eyes, and says "OOO OOO OOO OOO." Needless to say, we have had a great time spoiling her and saying over and over..."she really is one of the smartest babies ever." lol!

Look at this big girl! She is standing up pretty good now! We are so excited! She is still trying to get the whole crawling thing. She gets up on all fours very easily, rocks back and forth, and then falls on her belly and scoots. She is def. more mobile. =) I just took a few shots for fun this morn so y'all could see how big she is getting! It is so fun trying to teach her new words. She thinks she is big stuff. She is now picking up her big girl food and feeding herself very well. It only took one day to realize she has to chew the food. She loves slices of chicken deli meat. (stinky!) I am having to get creative now. No longer do I just pop open a jar of Gerber baby food. =( That's the latest with us. We are busy busy these days but excited about the holidays. Her first birthday will be here before we know it!

p.s. I uploaded these really fast (lower quality) so that is the reason for the grainy quality. =) had to say that b/c it bugs me. =)

Sorry I haven't written in so long! I just got a new lens though so I am sure the pics will be coming more frequently!

Parker is sporting her daddy's shirt from when he was a baby. So cute! I'm glad he pulled it out b/c it is almost too small. =) She has been wearing many 12 mth clothes lately which is wild. I can't wait to dress her up in the winter. I just bought her some pink boots! She is really starting to look like a little girl. She still says ma ma all of the time; however, when we try to get her to say da da she shakes her head "no." It is absolutely hilarious. I hate it for Tanner though. I really do try to get her to say it...promise! ha! We are excited about our many trips planned in the coming months. I know Christmas and her birthday will be here before we know it!

We have had a fun few days! Yesterday we went to the strawberry patch and the men picked strawberries while the ladies took pics. Tanner suggested that I not take my nice camera =( but I still got some cute ones. It was really, really hot but we loved spending time with the Ownbys and the Bibles. They are great friends. Tonight Gramb and Papaw bought us dinner at Michael Dean's to celebrate Tanner's big accomplishment this week. It was very good. Parker sat in a high chair for the first time and acted like she was three years old. She wanted everyone to look at her...she stared them down until they looked at her and then drew them in with that smile! She was too cute! Oh yes, and at her sixth month appt she weighed 15 lbs 10 oz and was 24 1/4 in. long. She had to get some nasty shots but was fine once she got some lovin. We are excited about Father's Day tomorrow! Happy Father's Day to Grandpa and Papaw!!! and big daddy =)

She LOVES sweet potatoes! This was her first taste of real food and she cries for more almost every time! (even after 7 oz of bottle!) yikes. I am sure that all of you who haven't seen her in a while will think she is SO big! Well, she is! It's crazy! I can't get over how she is growing so fast. Check out all of her expressions. =) so sweet. She is such a sweet girl. She is sleeping great now at night...I usually don't have to go in there anymore at night! YAY! That is a huge accomplishment. Only a few weeks until the teeth might interfere with that. =( She is now doing a fake cough when she wants something! so smart, eh?

Look at this baby girl! What a stinkin cutie! Tanner and I were just saying that we are really "in for it"...she has been squealing at the very top of her lungs (aka, talking) for the past twenty minutes! Yes, non-stop. whew! She is amazing. We have had a great time with Gramby and Papaw. She really showed off last night at the restaurant with both of the grandparents. Gramby and Papaw couldn't get over her big personality. She has now learned to kiss (with the tongue =), reach for toys and pick them up, reach for mommy and daddy, play copy-cat, sit in her high-chair, and play with her feet. We can't wait to see what this month brings. Oh, and how could I forget...she has a tooth poking through. It is the pokey tooth on the side of the bottom row. kinda crazy! Gramby said that was where Courtney's first tooth was also (Tanner's sister).

Here is a kiss from Miss Parker Sophia to all you fans out there!

Just wanted to give ya'll an update on Parker's stats after our check-up today. She weighed in at 13 lbs 10.5 oz! She is 50% in weight, 50% in height, and 88% in head circumference. Yes, that is right....she is getting taller! Tanner was a little worried she would be a shorty like me but she is prevailing! =) And that head...whew...I guess she's gotta big'un. =) The nurse even came back in to check her measurements on it. =) She only whimpered a couple of seconds when they gave her the second shot...she did great! She has been talking SO much the past couple of days...I think we might be in trouble when she actually starts talking. whew! Just had to brag on my girl a little. =)

Here are some of her favorite toys at the moment. She still loves her bouncy seat...but now she tries to bounce her way out of it. =) She sometimes reaches for the objects on the exersaucer and kicks her feet but at other times she is not too sure about that thing. She loves pulling and kicking all of the objects on the play mat! Speaking of pulling...she has learned to try to pull me in the crib with her at night. ha! If she wakes up in the wee hours I will usually try to put the passy in her mouth...in the meantime...she grabs my arm, finger, or anything she can find with her eyes closed and holds it as tight as possible!! so sweet! Look at this big girl =)

We had a great time visiting friends and family in GA last week! Parker did great and loved meeting all of the new people. And of course, my mom and dad loved showing her off! She looked so precious in her first Easter dress...she only spit up on it three times! =) She was quite the distraction in Sunday School and church with that beautiful smile and long white dress. We are so thankful for all of our family and friends!

Parker is loving life these days. She has discovered her hands, a blankie, and her spit. =) She loves blowing spit bubbles. ha! As you can see in the pics, she also loves to put her hands together and stare at them. She is definitely like me in that she LOVES her blanket!! She plays peek-a-boo and gets so excited when she sees me holding it. gotta love it! =) Oh, and I can't forget the reason for that cute shirt....we are going to Nana and Grandpa's house next week, and she is very excited to meet everyone from GA! Here are a few pics from today's photo shoot. =) She is wearing an adorable little sweater my grandpa bought for my sister. Both my sister and I wore it so it is very special. My grandpa was a very special man. I think I got my love of sweets from him and my granny. He used to have to hide his Reese's cups in the top of the closet so my granny wouldn't eat them all. Here are a few pics I have taken over the last couple of days. Parker is now 11 weeks old! She has soooo much personality! Her great-grandad said she will be "Miss Congeniality!" =) She is smiling so much and loves interacting with people. We are so thankful that her acid reflux medicine is finally working, and now she is a happy baby! This handsome little man, Matthew, is the son of our fabulous friends, Josh and Jessica Miller. We love them so much and can't wait to see Matthew and Parker grow up together...after these pics I think there might be a marriage in sight! That is, if Tanner doesn't spank him for holding Parker's hand! =) I caught them in the act right before our walk. Aren't they cute?? It is beautiful outside. Parker has been loving our walks outside. The pics below Parker and Matthew are some of her fun little faces. Parker loved her first visit to Kentucky! She had lots of new "firsts" like riding on a plane for the first time...she slept through every minute of it! =) I think the guy beside us was a little nervous when he saw us sit down with a baby but she did fabulous! The only plane blooper was Tanner dripping breastmilk on a woman as he got the bottle down. Oops!! GramB (Tanner's mom) took these cute pictures of Parker and the family. She was a total show-off; smiling, talking, and laughing for everyone to see! She also is really trying to suck her thumb. As soon as she starts to suck it she makes a crazy face and acts like it tastes horrible...=). Needless to say, we have had a great trip! Enjoy these new faces!

Here are a few new pics of our precious girl! She just had her two month check-up, and she weighed in at 10 lbs 1.5 oz.! She is 21 3/4 inches long. Her stats are 45% in weight, 25% in height, and 75% head circumference! Looks like she might be a shorty like her mama...maybe those legs will catch up with that head one of these days! =) She is full of smiles these days!

“The Root of Complaining: Unbelief”

Numbers 11-12

Introduction:

Do you ever struggle with a heart of complaining? To complain is “to express dissatisfaction, resentment, or grief; to find fault.” Philippians 2:15-16 says, “Do all things without grumbling or questioning, that you may blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.” The NIV says, “Do everything without complaining or arguing…” We might consider complaining a “respectable sin.” In reality, complaining reveals a worship problem, a gospel problem in our hearts.

Context:

The Pentateuch is a gradual fulfillment of the promises to the patriarchs in Gen 12:1-3. The elements of that promise are land, descendants, blessing to the nation and their covenant relationship with God. In the book of Numbers the Israelites continue their triumphant journey from out of slavery in Egypt toward the promised land in Canaan. What we find in Numbers 11-12 is that the Israelites express their heart of unbelief by complaining against God, which was ultimately a rejection of him and his gracious covenant purposes.

Theological and Practical Highlights:

The heart that complains fails to rely on the grace of God in the past.

God had rescued them out of slavery in Egypt. He had delivered them from their oppressors (Ex 2:23ff).
Looking back at God’s past grace should stimulate our hope in God’s future grace.
Not only did they forget what God had done for them, they also misinterpreted their past experiences.

The heart that complains fails to rest in God’s sovereign provision in the present.

God’s guidance, protection and provision were ever present (10:33-36).
God did not fail to meet their needs. The problem was not that they did not have anything to eat. Their problem was with what was on the menu! (See John 6:32-35; 48-51)

The heart that complains fails to trust in God’s precious promises for the future.

They lost sight of their end goal. They forgot that God was taking them to a place that was repeatedly described as a land flowing with milk and honey (Ex. 3:8; 3:17; 13:5; 33:3; and Lev. 20:24).
The heart of the issue was dissatisfaction with God and a failure to patiently trust in his great promises. Consider the following gospel promises: John 14:1; 1 Peter 1:3-5; Revelation 21:1-8

The rest of the story has much to teach us as well. 1) God mercifully empowered seventy elders with the Holy Spirit to alleviate some of Moses’ great burden (16-17). 2) Complaining reveals a rejection of our covenant God. This was the principle issue. (verse 20) 3) God’s power is unlimited (23). 4) Be careful what you ask for because you might just get it (20, 31-35)! 5) Sin carries great consequences (34). 6) Aaron and Miriam oppose Moses out of jealousy and once again, ultimately reject God’s plan and provision for the leadership of Israel (12:1-16).

The Gospel Cure for Unbelief: Trusting in God in light of the Person and Work of Christ

“Every time I deliberately disobey a command of God, it is because I am in that moment doubtful as to God’s true intentions in giving me that command. Does He really have my best interests at heart? Or is He withholding something from me that I would be better off having? Such questions, whether consciously asked or not, lie underneath every act of disobedience. However, the gospel changes my view of God’s commandments, in that it helps me to see the heart of the Person from whom those commandments come. When I begin my train of thought with the gospel, I realize that if God loved me enough to sacrifice His Son’s life for me, then He must be guided by that same love when He speaks His commandments to me.”

YAY! We caught one of these precious smiles!...(smiling at her daddy). Today was her second trip to church, but first with her pretty dress. She looked so beautiful all dressed up! She loved impressing everybody with her good looks. These pics were hurriedly taken at the last minute because her parents accidentally overslept. (they were up late after all) :) I'm sure there will be more to come. Everyone should know that Tanner dressed her and she didn't cry one bit!
